Who we are
This site is run by Elizabeth Fry, trading as Lizzie Artworks. For anything in this policy, or to exercise any of the rights below, use our Contact page.
What we collect
When you use the Contact form, we collect whatever you enter — typically your name, email address, and message, plus a phone number and the artwork you're asking about if you provide them.
When you accept cookies (see our Cookie Policy), we collect anonymised usage data through Google Analytics — pages viewed, which artworks you open or enquire about, general location, device type, and how you found the site. We don't use this to identify you personally.
We don't run user accounts, and we don't take payment on this site — any purchase is arranged directly with Elizabeth by email once you've been in touch.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry, discuss a piece, or arrange a sale
- To understand how the site is used, so we can improve it
The legal basis for the contact form is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries from people who've chosen to contact us. The legal basis for analytics cookies is your consent, given through the cookie banner; you can decline at any time, and nothing is collected.
Who we share it with
- Netlify (our website host) processes and stores Contact form submissions on our behalf
- Google processes analytics data if you've accepted cookies
We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Contact form messages are kept as long as needed to handle your enquiry, and then deleted periodically. Analytics data is retained by Google according to its own standard retention settings.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to how it's used. Use our Contact page for any of this. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
